EARTH DAY 2023

Green Initiatives at Digga

At Digga, we have a range of green initiatives that we employ to lessen our impact on the environment. We’re continuously working on ways to curb our impact on the environment.

Today, being #earthday2023, it’s important that individuals and businesses spread the word and encourage others to explore ways they can do the same.

GREEN INITIATIVES AROUND OUR FACTORY

We have several instances of implementing eco-friendly practices, they are:

High-efficiency motors in our CNC machines and compressors help reduce our factory's carbon footprint by lowering energy consumption.

Extractors that filter air and reduce the amount of harmful toxins that we release into the atmosphere

Recycling wood, metal, and plastic not only reduces waste but also allows us to reuse valuable resources.

Our facility's motor and hydraulic oils are recycled, reducing our impact on the environment and promoting a circular economy.

The use of sustainable products, such as sustainably regenerated forest pallets and reusable coffee and drinking cups, showcases our dedication to eco-friendly practices. Also, the responsible sourcing of products like hexavalent chromium demonstrates our commitment to environmental sustainability.

As an organisation, we also have introduced various ways that we can use less energy in all of our facilities. This includes solar panels that provide energy for our manufacturing facility, using electrical forklifts, motion sensors for lights and recycled water in high-use areas such as our bathrooms and powder-coat lines.

All of these actions have been successfully reducing our carbon footprint and just so happens, that it aligns with the initiatives that Earth Day 2023 have put forward.

So, we believe it is our duty to ensure that our business is constantly being environmentally responsible and that we are doing what we can. After all, Earth Day serves as a reminder of the importance of our impact on the environment and taking action to protect it. By prioritizing sustainability and making conscious decisions to reduce our carbon emissions and minimize waste, we are doing our part to contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet.
